Nicole Lockhead-Anderson had a phenomenal six weeks, jumping countless clear rounds and bringing home multiple top placings and wins on her string of horses. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how our horses performed under Nicole’s expert piloting with each horse getting better and better every week.
Stand out of the tour was the 8-year-old mare, Emerald Irish Cruise. This stunning grey by Ringfort Cruise claimed victory after victory, bringing home 9 wins in total in the 4* classes with Nicole on board. From week 3 to week 8, this pairing was unbeatable in every class they entered, including the 4* Small Tour Grand Prix LR class and finishing on a high by taking the win in the 4* Equipe Ladies Invitational. This mare has always been special, and we can’t wait to see what else this year brings!
Cassandro B was another horse who enjoyed the winner’s circle. The 10-year-old by Colestus took victory in the 4* Small Tour 1.35 in week 4 and the 4* Small Tour 1.40 in week 7. This stunning gelding jumped clear round after clear round, also claimed 5th in the 4* Small Tour 1.35 in week 5, 5th in the 4* Small Tour Grand Prix LR in week 7 and 5th in the 4* Small Tour 1.45 in week 9.
Catino 10, a 10-year-old gelding by Catoki, also went from strength to strength in the six weeks with Nicole. Starting off strong in week 3, they came home with 12th in the 4* Small Tour 1.40 and 3rd in the hotly contested 4* Small Tour LR Grand Prix. They then went on to claim more top-10 placings including 6th in the 4* 1.35 and 7th in the 4* Small Tour 1.40, 7th in the 4* Small Tour LR Grand Prix.
It was great to see Jess back in the saddle aboard Miss Bubbles in the 1* classes. This pairing impressed the crowds and were rarely out of the top-10. In week 4, they were 5th in the 1* 1.10 and their good performances continued into week 8 where they took 8th and 8th in the 1* 1.20 and stepped up to the 1* 1.25 to finish 14th. Finishing on a high in week 9, they claimed 6th and 4th in the 1* 1.20 again had great success in the 1* 1.25 final to come 2nd.
Jess also took the reins of 5-year-old Pria Blue PS and they jumped clear round after clear round, taking 3rd in the 5-year-olds until Nicole took over the ride in week 5. Nicole piloted the bay mare to even more clear rounds, as well as 5th in the 5-year-old final in week 7, 6th in the final in week 8 and finally to 2nd in the 5-year-old Sunshine Tour Final, showcasing her talent and ability for the future.
Also in the 5-year-olds, Nicole rode Caro Blue PS, Conmira-Cheri PS, Piagona PS and Casalluna. Casalluna impressed us over the three weeks she was in the ring, jumping faultless rounds and finishing on a high with 11th in the 5-Year-Old Farewell Final. Caro Blue PS, a grey gelding by Caroly out of a Chacco-Blue mare, jumped countless clear rounds to showcase her class and finished off his tour with 7th in the 5-year-old Sunshine Tour Final. Conmira-Cheri PS, a bay gelding by Veyron, also jumped clear after clear, taking 4th in the 5-year-olds in week 3 and 4th in the 5-year-olds in week 4. Piagona PS is out of our very own Miss Aragona PS and is by Presley Boy. It’s always incredible to see the progeny of one the mares we have produced in the ring, and Piagona PS shows to have all the qualities of her dam. Careful and clear throughout her tour, she also claimed 4th in the Farwell 5-year-old Final.
With an exciting bunch of 6-year-olds coming through our stables, it was a pleasure to see them develop during the tour. Quanthargos PS is an exciting young stallion by Quantos out of a Chacco-Blue mare. He impressed us over the 1.30m classes, showing his talent and taking home 4th in the 6-year-old final in week 3, 12th in the qualifier and 6th in the final during week 4. The exciting mare by Dominator Z, Dofina Z, stunned the audience with her textbook technique, jumping clear after clear in her age class.
The next year of stablemates also looked strong, with all the 7-year-olds looking exceptionally strong horses with big futures. Vivant’s Penny PS, a stunning grey mare by Vivant out of a Cento mare, recorded some great rounds and adding clear rounds to her CV. She also enjoyed some top 10 placings in the age classes, coming 7th and 2nd in the qualifiers in week 8 and 7th in the qualifier in week 9. Mecoblue PS is another exciting young gelding by Messenger. He got better and better each time he entered the ring and took 9th in the 7-year-old final in week 8, and in week 9 took 6th in the qualifier with the highlight being the 9th place finish in the 7-year-old Farewell Final. However, it was Conthargo PS who was the one to watch. Taking home multiple top-10 placings, the grey gelding by Conthargos who couldn’t be stopped. In week 3, he placed 6th, 7th and 8th in the age classes with his good form continuing into week 4 when he took 3rd. He also claimed 5th in week 5, 3rd and 8th in week 8 and finished on a high by winning the 7-year-olds in week 9.
Another up-and-coming superstar is the 8-year-old Casago du Rouet PS. This stunning stallion stepped up during his tour with great success. Taking the 8-year-old age classes head on, he took 8th in the 1.40 and 9th in the 1.45 class in week 5. He just kept getting better and better when he entered the ring, also jumping the hotly contested 2* Grand Prix LR during week 6, landing in the prize money in 15th. This son of Casallco continued his good form, adding 8th, 10th, 11th, and 11th to his CV in the age classes.
